  "In another newsletter it was stated that 1964 was the last time we didn't have a team in the lst grade grand finals. This evoked a response from Max Ball who claimed to have played in the winning 1sts that year and perhaps we could confirm with Bob Burgess. I spoke to Bob at the presentation dinner but at that time of the evening he just smiled. However, I have it on good authority that our 1sts did win that year but they were not playing in 1st Division."
