Adelaide Sevens calls for Volunteers

The Adelaide Sevens tournament have today called for volunteers to assist in one of the biggest international events to be staged in the city in 2008.

With over 150 volunteer positions available, including team liaison assistants, match day assistants and media liaison officers, the 2008 tournament presents a great opportunity for the people of Adelaide to embrace a truly international event.

Tournament Director and SA Rugby CEO Rob Nelson said the success of the 2007 event was largely due to the enthusiasm and commitment of the near 160 volunteers.

“With more than 25,000 people attending over the two days, the many people who volunteered in all sorts of roles really helped make the inaugural event a success.”

“With so many players, officials and tourists visiting Adelaide just for the event we urge the local community to come and be part of one of the biggest events on the Adelaide sporting and social calendar.”
